During my recent stay at Bushland Beach Tavern, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and comfort of the accommodations, which boasted a lovely balcony overlooking a serene garden area-an ideal setting for reflective moments after working tirelessly in conservation. The outdoor pool was a fantastic hit with my group, where we took leisurely dips and enjoyed the sun. Though the tavern offers a restaurant on-site, the food quality left much to be desired, reminding me of my own culinary experiences in South African eco-lodges that prioritize fresh, local ingredients. That said, the warmth of the staff and the tavern's proximity to Bushy Beach made it an excellent base for our city break. While I appreciated the clean and functional rooms equipped with modern amenities, I hope the dining experience improves, adding more to the charm of this coastal retreat.
